Commonplace book, 1767.

This manuscript commonplace book was compiled by Richard Hewlett in 1767. In it, Hewlett has copied examples of poetry, riddles, bonds, indentures, deeds of gifts, hymn texts, promissory notes, Biblical scriptures, medicinal recipes, and numerous prayers, including the Lord's Prayer. One page contains the inscription "Richard Hewlett, His Book, Ye 23 Day 1767."
